Why Weekends Should Be 3 Days Long
Everybody, raise your hand if you’ve ever felt like weekends are way too short. If you raised your hand, then you’re completely normal because there are fewer weekend days than weekdays. And haven't you realized your parents, friends and everybody you see is nearly always exhausted. I bet you have complained about the shortness of weekends more than what you can count.
So Here are some simple reasons why weekends should be 3 days long. So weekends feel way too short, i suppose 2 days is enough but 3 days would be much better. Some people including me don’t like that because weekends are supposed to be breaks for people who need it. In fact, nearly everybody needs a break from a long week of work, right? Plus people need time at their own home because isn’t that what they bought it for? People, especially parents, need time to do their own thing
So having a long break allows more time for families to spend time together like go out and eat together. Plus, many of the schools I know have after-school care for students whose parents can't even come and pick up their own children in time or teachers letting students walk to their friend’s houses until the parents are available, those are times when parents can’t hang out with their kids and longer weekends equal to more interaction with people. With people you can learn different things than what school teaches you like how to dab or how to get something.
Secondly, many people have to work on the weekends - like extra school on Saturdays or a shop which closes on Sunday. Only a longer weekend would help these people get a longer break, and too much work can lead to depression, heart disease, cancer, and a half death of boredom, and depression sometimes deals permanent damage to the brain and gives memory loss.
Thirdly, people need their own time to do their own thing. I myself don’t have any time at all and who in the world would want to be obeying orders for every second of their life or maybe obeying orders for most of your life. That can be a total failure because imagine planning something like a birthday then COVID-19 attacks and then it's cancelled, wow all the birthday stuff you got is going to have to wait for next time… and that’s in 1 year. That's one example and there are plenty of other examples like a meeting or an appointment and that’s just too annoying for me to handle.
Lastly, people need more time in their own place because that's what they bought it for, isn’t it? Parents usually leave kids at home with siblings or one adult but one adult is not enough for the child because the child might be too much for the supervisor. Besides parents need to supervise their children in case something bad happens like the child starts to go crazy and the guardian taking the place of the parent doesn’t know what to do. Don’t forget, most children prefer having their parents, rather than anyone else. Children tend to act differently around different people, a.k.a. not their parents, and who wants their children to act differently? Let children be themselves and let them be comfortable. Parents should try to avoid making the children act strangely or differently.
So if you think deeply into it, weekends are way too short. 5 weekdays and 2 weekend days? It should be 4 weekdays and 3 weekend days. There are plenty of good reasons why weekends should be 3 days long, like short weekends could lead to depression which can give you permanent brain damage. Give yourself time to think of revenge for practically being scammed because we all know weekends should obviously be 3 days long and can’t believe we’ve been doing this whole process wrong for our whole lives.
